can i use a king size white satin sheet as a tablecloth on a round table instead of renting linen for wedding?
i am getting married in september and i think it would be sexy to have satin tablecloths but they are so expensive, even to rent. i wondered if i could use a king size satin sheet and let it hang over the table. then they could be re-used or donated somehow. i was also going to use white feather boas over the chair backs which i saw on tv but now i can't find photos. does anyone have any ideas? does this sound terrible?

No, I think it is a great way to be thrifty, creative and to recycle. I did it myself using king sized fitted sheets for banquet tables at a party I threw. The fitted sheets puddle well at the bottom underneath the tables where the elastic is. I reuse them from time to time still. You can find feather boas in assorted colors and lengths at craft stores and on the bolt at fabric stores.
